Job summary

SG-EDTS is seeking a junior backend engineer based in Central Jakarta. You will learn to design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs under senior guidance, using Golang or Java Spring Boot. You will write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot with mentorship, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years’ experience are welcome. A strong willingness to learn, basic SQL, REST API concepts, and Git proficiency are expected;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Fresh Graduate or maximum 2 years of working experience.
• Basic Understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
• Basic knowledge about Java.
• Having knowledge about Golang is a plus.
• Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of relational database concepts.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols and API design concepts.
• Familiar with version control using Git.
• Familiar with Agile methodology.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow as an engineer.
• Available for 2 years commitment.
• Full WFO at Wisma 46, Central Jakarta

Responsibilities

• Learn to design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs under senior guidance
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices using Golang or Java Spring boot
• Write unit tests and integration test to ensure code reliability and learn testing best practices
• Learn to troubleshoot issues and understand system monitoring with mentorship
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to improve your understanding
