The Junior Accounting Consultant supports the Finance & Accounting team in delivering accurate financial records, reports, and advisory support to internal stakeholders and/or clients. This role is ideal for early-career accounting professionals who want to build a strong foundation in financial analysis, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and client-facing consultation, while working closely with senior consultants to develop technical and professional skills.
Assist in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
Support day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
Help prepare tax documentation and ensure compliance with applicable local tax regulations.
Assist senior consultants in client meetings, gathering financial data, and preparing supporting analysis.
Conduct basic financial analysis to support business decisions (variance analysis, budget tracking, cost analysis).
Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and audit trails.
Support internal and external audit processes by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
Identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data and **escalate** to senior team members.
Continuously learn accounting standards, software tools, and industry best practices.
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0–2 years of relevant experience (internship experience is a plus).
Basic understanding of accounting principles (PSAK/IFRS as applicable) and tax regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Accurate, SAP, Xero, or similar) is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
