Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is hiring experienced Underground Jumbo Operators for the Freeport Indonesia Project in Central Papua. The role offers 12-hour shifts on an 8/4 or 6/3 roster, with flights provided from your point of hire to site.

You will drill and bolt in incline, decline, drift and mass excavation while ensuring safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of underground jumbo experience (Sandvik D422i preferred), a valid driver's licence, and copies of RPLs or VOCs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience operating Underground Jumbos (preferably Sandvik D422i series).
• Valid Driver's Licence required.
• Copies of relevant RPLs or VOCs are necessary.
• Familiar with hard rock mining techniques and procedures.
• Safety-focused attitude and a positive can-do mindset.
• Extensive experience in a high-speed development environment.
• Motivated to achieve targets safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Drilling and bolting of incline, decline, drift and mass excavation; primarily face drilling.
• Ground support installation (bolt and mesh).
• Identify and remedy misfires.
• Conduct prestart checks of equipment and drill site.
• Monitor and operate the drill rig control panel.
• Read and follow worksheets and drill patterns.
• Ensure work adheres to specifications, schedules and standards.
• Train national employees.
