A dynamic analytics firm in Jakarta is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to convert data from various divisions into actionable insights. In this role, you will build and maintain KPI dashboards, and extract and analyze data using SQL and Python. This position requires approximately one year of relevant experience and strong communication skills to present findings to a non-technical audience. The ideal candidate will be familiar with BI tools and have an understanding of business metrics like retention and conversion rate.
We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst who enjoys working with data from multiple divisions and translating their skills and analytical thinking into data-driven insights to support business operations, making them more effective and productive.
Build, maintain, and continuously improve KPI dashboards (daily, weekly, monthly) to monitor business performance.
Extract, process, and analyze data using SQL and Python to support data-driven decision making.
Conduct cohort analysis and funnel analysis to evaluate user behavior, conversion, and retention.
Perform trend analysis, period-over-period comparisons, and data segmentation to uncover growth opportunities.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business and operational teams.
Handle ad-hoc analyses to support various stakeholders across the organization.
Ensure metric consistency, data accuracy, and reliable reporting standards.
Present analysis results through intuitive visualizations and reports that are easy for non-technical audiences to understand.
±1 year of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Reporting Analyst.
Solid understanding of SQL (basic to intermediate) including JOINs, CTEs, aggregations, and date handling.
Familiar with data warehouses such as BigQuery, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with cohort analysis and funnel analysis.
Proficient in Python for data analysis (pandas and basic data manipulation).
Experience using BI tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
Strong skills in Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, basic analysis).
Good understanding of key business metrics (active users, GMV, conversion rate, retention).
Able to communicate insights clearly and confidently to non-technical stakeholders.
