Job summary

PT Kode Evolusi Bangsa in Jakarta is seeking a competent Java Developer to join our client's team on a full-time onsite basis for a 2–3 month project. You will shadow senior engineers and contribute to migrating backend services to cloud environments, delivering reliable cloud-ready components.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of Java backend experience, proficiency with Spring Boot or Quarkus, and hands-on cloud migration knowledge across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development (Mid-Level / Competent).
• Strong proficiency in Java core and popular backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot or Quarkus).
• Practical understanding or hands-on experience with cloud migration concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Solid knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and relational/non-relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Shadow existing development staff to quickly absorb system architecture, domain workflows, and codebases.
• Assist in refactoring and migrating existing Java backend services to modern cloud environments.
• Develop, test, and maintain Java application components to ensure cloud readiness and system stability.
• Collaborate closely with senior technical leads, cloud teams, and project managers throughout the migration process.
• Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues or bottlenecks encountered during the migration phase.
• Maintain clean code standards, technical documentation, and migration status updates.
