Job summary

Matahari in Lippo Karawaci, Indonesia, seeks a Software Design & Development professional to design, develop, and implement scalable applications across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. You will work with APIs, databases, and CI/CD, following best practices and coding standards while collaborating with analysts and QA engineers.

You will apply modern development tools, including Python automation, SQL databases, and version control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of application development experience.
• Familiarity with Progressive Web App (PWA) development is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Python for automation and data sync.
• Experience with REST API, RPC, and SFTP-based transfers.
• Proficiency in SQL databases and data modeling.

Software Design & Development

Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient software applications based on business and technical requirements, following best practices and coding standards. (Desktop, Web and Mobile Application)

Code Review & Quality Assurance

Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding guidelines, as well as perform unit testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects.

System Integration

Develop and implement system integrations using APIs (REST/RPC), third-party services, or other integration methods to ensure seamless communication between different systems and platforms.

Database Management

Design, develop, and optimize database structures and queries using SQL-based databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server to ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and produce clear technical documentation including system design, API documentation, and deployment guides. Collaborate with users and vendors to deliver effective application enhancements.

Monitor & Support

Monitor application performance and provide troubleshooting and user support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field with min. 2 years of experience in application development.

Familiarity with Progressive Web App (PWA) development is a plus.

Capable of using Python for automation, scripting, and data synchronization.

Understanding of system integration concepts, including REST API, RPC, SFTP-based file transfer, and other integration methods.

Experienced in using SQL with MariaDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, as well as proficient in database design, normalization, and optimization.

Understanding of software architecture concepts and enterprise application development.

Familiar with Git, including branching, merge requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of basic Linux administration (SSH, services, logging, and troubleshooting). Familiarity with Remote Desktop (RDP) is a plus.

Understanding of Docker usage. Knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) or OKD is a plus.

Familiar with AI-assisted development tools and Agentic AI (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools) to enhance development productivity.

Understanding of cross-platform application development using Flutter is a plus.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with good English proficiency.

Willing to be based in Lippo Karawaci.
