About the role

PT GFT Indonesia Investment is seeking an IQC Toys Manufacture – Assistant Supervisor to join our manufacturing operations team in Ngawi, East Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring quality control and operational excellence within our toy manufacturing facility. As an Assistant Supervisor, you will support the supervision of incoming quality control (IQC) processes, helping to maintain the highest standards of product quality whilst ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications. This role bridges operational management and quality assurance, making it essential to our commitment to delivering superior products to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate incoming quality control inspections to ensure all materials and components meet specified quality standards before production
• Monitor and manage quality control staff, providing guidance, training and performance feedback to maintain team efficiency and accuracy
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of incoming raw materials, components and finished products using established quality procedures
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality control records to ensure traceability and compliance with company standards
• Identify quality issues, root causes and non-conformities, and work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions
• Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams regarding quality concerns and coordinate resolution of defects or inconsistencies
• Ensure compliance with toy safety regulations, industry standards and customer quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process
• Prepare quality reports and analyse data to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and procedures
• Assist in training production and quality control staff on quality standards, inspection techniques and safety protocols

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in quality control or manufacturing supervision, preferably in the toy manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes, inspection methodologies and toy safety standards and regulations
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate staff effectively
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in quality control systems and documentation practices
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Relevant qualification in quality management, manufacturing engineering or a related field is desirable
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is an advantage
• Fluency in Indonesian and English (verbal and written) is essential
