Nawatech in Indonesia is seeking a skilled Embedded IoT Engineer to design, develop, and maintain firmware for industrial devices, sensors and embedded systems.

You will implement device communication using MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Modbus and BLE, integrate with cloud platforms, perform testing and debugging, document specifications, and collaborate with hardware, software, and field teams. Proficiency in STM32/ESP32, C/C++, and Python is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in embedded programming, IoT engineering, or industrial instrumentation.
• Solid understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
• Experience with sensors, industrial devices, and automation systems.
• Hands-on MCU programming with STM32/ESP32 using STM32CubeIDE or PlatformIO.
• Knowledge of RTOS and bare-metal MCU programming.
• Familiarity with IoT platforms and cloud services (Node-RED, ThingsBoard, Azure IoT, AWS IoT).
• Knowledge of MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Modbus, and REST APIs.
• Experience with debugging tools like multimeters, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Familiarity with databases like MySQL and InfluxDB.
• Strong troubleshooting and continuous learning mindset.

Responsabilités

• Assess IoT requirements and translate into software and firmware solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for IoT devices, sensors, and embedded systems.
• Implement and integrate device communication using MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Modbus, UART, RS-485, BLE, and cellular.
• Integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms, backend systems, databases, and monitoring applications.
• Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of firmware and IoT systems.
• Support device deployment, commissioning, remote monitoring, and field troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including firmware specs, protocols, and guides.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, solution teams, project managers, and field teams.
• Continuously improve knowledge in embedded systems, IoT, protocols, and cloud technologies.
