Job summary

Nawatech in Indonesia is seeking a skilled Embedded IoT Engineer to design, develop, and maintain firmware for industrial devices, sensors and embedded systems.

You will implement device communication using MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Modbus and BLE, integrate with cloud platforms, perform testing and debugging, document specifications, and collaborate with hardware, software, and field teams. Proficiency in STM32/ESP32, C/C++, and Python is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in embedded programming, IoT engineering, or industrial instrumentation.
• Solid understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
• Experience with sensors, industrial devices, and automation systems.
• Hands-on MCU programming with STM32/ESP32 using STM32CubeIDE or PlatformIO.
• Knowledge of RTOS and bare-metal MCU programming.
• Familiarity with IoT platforms and cloud services (Node-RED, ThingsBoard, Azure IoT, AWS IoT).
• Knowledge of MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Modbus, and REST APIs.
• Experience with debugging tools like multimeters, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Familiarity with databases like MySQL and InfluxDB.
• Strong troubleshooting and continuous learning mindset.

Responsibilities

What Will You Need

• Solid understanding of basic electronics, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
• Experience working with sensors, industrial devices, and automation systems.
• Hands-on experience in MCU programming, particularly STM32 and ESP32, using STM32CubeIDE, PlatformIO (Arduino/ ESP-IDF).
• Understanding of RTOS and bare-metal MCU programming.
• Knowledge of IoT platforms and cloud services such as Node-RED, ThingsBoard, Microsoft Azure IoT, or AWS IoT.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Modbus, and SNMP, as well as REST APIs.
• Familiarity with embedded system debugging and measurement tools such as multimeters, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
