Job summary

AsiaQuest Indonesia is seeking a Middle IoT Engineer in Jakarta Pusat. You will design and develop IoT systems, integrate sensors and devices, and connect edge devices to backend services, using MQTT, HTTP, or TCP.

The role requires 2–5 years in IoT or embedded systems, strong ESP32/Arduino (C/C++), MQTT familiarity, and Linux proficiency. Nice-to-have: PCB design tools (EAGLE, KiCad), PLC experience, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in IoT or embedded systems.
• Strong experience with ESP32/Arduino (C/C++).
• Familiar with MQTT or similar protocols.
• Basic Python for integration/scripting.
• Experience with UART/RS485/Modbus.
• Linux environment proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop IoT systems, including embedded devices and backend integration.
• Integrate sensors and devices (RFID, power meter, relay, etc.) into working systems.
• Connect IoT devices to server or edge systems via MQTT, HTTP, or TCP.
• Work with communication protocols (UART, RS485, Modbus).
• Support prototyping, testing, and real-world deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and network.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Be curious and proactive in exploring new technologies, tools, and approaches.
• Able to research, test, and implement new solutions independently.
