Qualifications

  • Final-year students with a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Alternatively Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics or related engineering disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to gain practical experience.
  • Good communication and teamwork across functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with SAP PM/CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Maintenance Engineer in developing and implementing maintenance strategies for critical equipment to improve reliability and operational performance.
  • Support the maintenance and updating of spare parts master data, including item identification, classification, labeling, storage locations, and inventory records within SAP.
  • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the end-to-end maintenance work management process, including notification screening, work order planning, scheduling, and execution within SAP CMMS.

Job Purpose

Job Description Summary: Job Purpose The Maintenance Engineer Support Intern will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Engineer and gain hands-on experience in maintenance engineering and asset reliability management. The intern will provide technical and administrative support in implementing equipment reliability programs, work management processes, CMMS (SAP) activities, and spare parts management (80%). The role will also provide on-the-job training opportunities to support Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities under the guidance of the Maintenance Engineer and Maintenance Technicians (20%).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Maintenance Engineer in developing and implementing maintenance strategies for critical equipment to improve reliability and operational performance.
  • Support the maintenance and updating of spare parts master data, including item identification, classification, labelling, storage locations, and inventory records within SAP.
  • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the end-to-end maintenance work management process, including:
    • Notification screening
    • Work order planning
    • Work order scheduling
    • Work execution and completion tracking within SAP CMMS
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Final-year students with a minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Mechatronics Engineering
    • Or a related engineering discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to gain practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with mechanical drawing and AutoCAD software.
Employment Status

Internship position with a duration of 3 months.
