Job summary

Formulatrix Indonesia, a hardware division leader in precision robotic systems, seeks an Injection Molding Process Engineer to own molding processes from concept to validation. You will improve tooling, analyze Moldflow simulations, and drive DoE-based optimization across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing, tooling, and product development experience.
• Experience with plastic molding and tooling engineering.
• Experience with Moldflow Simulation and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality standards on all products and document processes.
• Identify lean improvements to current molding processes and tooling.
• Investigate new tooling concepts and molding processes.
• Analyze Moldflow results and define molding process windows with parameter settings.
• Manage mold tuning loops from Off Tool to Initial samples and DoE.
• Support new product tooling launches and process development at milestones.
• Define measurable improvements in materials, designs, and processes.
• Define and replicate process windows for robust part validation and production.

Injection Molding Process Engineer (Mechanical Engineering Division)

Job Descriptions

• Maintain quality standards on all products to ensure manufacturing with zero defect methodology, along with required process documentation.
• Identify lean and continuous improvement to existing processes and tooling related to current product lines with regard to cost, quality, and/or design.
• Identify and investigate potential new tooling concepts and processes.
• Analyze Moldflow simulation results, implement the solution in a new mold, define the molding process window, and make injection setting parameters based on scientific calculation.
• Manage the technical part and mold tuning loops from Off Tool to Initial samples and manage the molding DoE.
• Provide support on new product tooling launch and process at each milestone through production, providing the manufacturing and engineering inputs for the development of new processes, parts, and tooling.
• Define and implement measurable improvements in materials, designs, and processes.
• Define and duplicate the process window to ensure reliable and robust part validation and production.

Requirements

• Candidates must have at least a Diploma degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least have 2 years of work experience in manufacturing, tooling, and product development experience.
• Have experience in plastic molding and tooling engineering.
• Have experience with Autodesk Moldflow Simulation and Analysis.
• Have experience with the Design of Experiments (DoE) and validation protocol (IQ, OQ, and PQ).
• Accurate, high attention-to-detail, tactful, a fast learner and highly organized is a must.
• Proactive and persistent team player with a strong passion for collaborative design.
• Have good interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Have superb creativity, logic, vision, and problem-solving skills.
• Have good communication skills in English, oral and written.
• Willing to work in Salatiga.
