Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both inpatient and outpatient settings within the Infectious Disease team. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.

Team members provide high-quality customer service and the opportunity for career growth, including certification support and tuition assistance. Day shift, 40 hours weekly, with scrub allowance included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Uncertified Medical Assistants may be hired with up to 12 months to certification and tuition/certification support provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vitals and documenting chief complaints.
• Assist with exams and minor procedures; positions as chaperone; maintain sterile/clean environments.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling; relay results to patients.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing information.
• Onboarding and orientation completion including simulation training; work under supervision of providers.
