Google Indonesia is seeking an Indonesian Language Manager to lead localization quality, language strategy, and stakeholder collaboration across Marketing, Product, and PR. You will shape guidelines and ensure native language experiences for Google’s products in Indonesia.

The role emphasizes partnering with Indonesian market teams, understanding user expectations, and leveraging AI to improve localization quality, while aligning with global language trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience within creative, localization, translation, journalism, public communications or the online marketing/advertising industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop a good understanding of market expectations for localization quality and how Google's products fit in the market, and create language strategy to enable native language experience to users.
• Be a critical partner for the Indonesia-focused teams with stakeholders in Marketing, Product and PR to enable native language experiences for Google’s products for Indonesian users.
• Engage regularly with local stakeholders (Marketing, PR and product teams) to understand their priorities, and share updates on language strategy and global localization services.
• Create and evolve Indonesian language guidelines and language strategy for Google, taking into account input from users, stakeholders, and tech language industry trends.
• Develop an understanding of the Indonesia market and user expectations for Indonesian language quality and how to use language to achieve market needs. Propose language studies and user insights to ever-improve this understanding.
