Job summary

TRAFFIC leads a two-year consultancy contract to implement the NICFI-funded project focused on reducing forestry-related corruption in Indonesia. The role involves data analytics and court monitoring, policy analysis, and capacity building in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.

The consultant will collect and manage datasets, conduct desk and legal research, prepare analytical outputs, and support donor reporting while ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder engagement across

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in the conservation or forestry field.
• 2–3 years relevant experience.
• Experience in research, data analysis, policy analysis or criminal justice-related work.
• Strong ability to synthesize information, with writing skills and attention to details.
• Strong Excel and data management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Knowledge of anti-corruption, forest crime, wildlife crime or public policy desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect, verify, process and maintain project datasets including entry into relevant databases.
• Liaise with project partners on collecting and managing shared data.
• Conduct court monitoring and case tracking activities.
• Undertake desk research, legal research and policy analysis.
• Contribute to and support development of analytical products and project outputs.
• Prepare meeting notes, summaries and supporting documents.
• Attend stakeholder engagement activities and support follow-up actions.
• Track project indicators, maintain project records, and support monitoring and evaluation requirements.
• Support workshop logistics and event coordination in line with reporting and compliance requirements.
• Updated, cleaned and maintained court monitoring, enforcement incident, and case tracking datasets.
• Detailed court monitoring notes.
• Contributions to research and analytical outputs.
• Meeting notes and workshop documentation.
• Supporting records and indicators for donor reporting and monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
