Job summary

CIFOR, based in Bogor, Indonesia, seeks an Accountant to manage consultancy payments, billings, and commitments for consultants and partners. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to CIFOR-ICRAF finance policies.

Located in Bogor, the position is locally recruited with a one-year term and prospects for extension. The incumbent will handle journal entries, accruals, and regular balance sheet reconciliations while supporting audits and internal controls across Finance

Qualifications

• University education in accounting with more than 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in financial and accounting services.
• Experience in project or cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Process consultancy journalizing and payments in line with policies.
• Ensure commitments and accruals are cleared upon completion/payments of contracts.
• Generate payment runs to process amounts due in payables.
• Review and process partners’ invoices and input details into the financial system.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on long outstanding balances.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
• Implement internal control systems and ensure compliance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
