Job summary

FAO Representation in Indonesia in Jakarta seeks a National Professional Officer to lead technical cooperation on REDD+ and forest monitoring systems, coordinating with government partners and UN agencies. The role requires advanced degree in agriculture/forestry, at least one year of relevant experience, and working knowledge of English and Indonesian.

The incumbent will drive FAO’s climate priorities and support UN-REDD activities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in agriculture, forestry, or related field.
• One year of relevant experience in agricultural development or project implementation.
• Fluency in English and local language (Indonesian).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery on REDD+ and forest monitoring initiatives.
• Coordinate with government authorities and FAO partners to align priorities.
• Support preparation of technical reports, policy briefs and knowledge products.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams delivering technical assistance.
• Represent FAO in Indonesia in UN-REDD coordination and stakeholder engagement.
