Job summary

PT Indexim Coalindo is seeking a seasoned Hydrogeology Engineer to support hydrological assessments, mine water management programs, and water monitoring activities across our mining operations. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology, or Mining Engineering, with 5+ years of hydrogeology experience in mining.

Proficiency in groundwater modelling tools such as MODFLOW, Leapfrog Hydro, FEFLOW, or WMS is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology-related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hydrogeology or mine water management experience in mining operations.
• Experience with groundwater data analysis and reporting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrogeological investigations and groundwater monitoring activities to support mining operations.
• Analyze hydrogeological data and provide technical recommendations related to groundwater management and depressurization programs.
• Support the implementation of groundwater monitoring systems and hydrogeological studies.
• Assist in managing hydrogeological databases and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate field activities, including drilling, testing, and groundwater monitoring programs.
• Prepare technical reports, analyses, and documentation to support operational and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Mine Planning, Geotechnical, Operations, and Environmental teams on hydrogeological matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company standards, and HSE requirements.

• Support the implementation of groundwater monitoring systems and hydrogeological studies.
• Assist in managing hydrogeological databases and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate field activities, including drilling, testing, and groundwater monitoring programs.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of groundwater systems, hydrogeological investigations, monitoring programs, and mine water management practices.
• Experience in groundwater data analysis, interpretation, and technical reporting.
• Familiarity with hydrogeological and groundwater modelling software such as MODFLOW, Leapfrog Hydro, FEFLOW, WMS, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on a site-based roster arrangement.
