Job summary

• Entry level with training and supervision.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regional/global responsibility for specific commodities including pricing and supplier development.
• Quote and negotiate products and services quarterly.
• Develop cost of customer bids within response time objectives.
• Support bid activities with site teams to deliver material commitments to customers.
• Participate in Corporate negotiation teams and provide pricing data analysis.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with top suppliers and review customer BOMs.
• Coordinate supplier communication and resolve performance issues.
• Support SCM buying teams during shortages and supplier underperformance.
• Assist customers to resolve quality and service issues for products or bids.
• Consolidate, tabulate, analyze and report commitments and performance metrics.
• Provide product cost support for products in assigned geographies.
• Prepare bids with BOMs, cost analysis, negotiations, and management presentation.
• Update material prices databases and analyze BOMs for competitiveness.
