PT UCoal Sumberdaya seeks a senior External Relations leader to design and implement community engagement strategies that support mining operations.
You will build and sustain relationships with local communities, village and traditional leaders, government bodies, and other key stakeholders, guiding issue resolution and proactive risk management.
Develop and implement community relations and stakeholder engagement strategies that support the Company's operational objectives.
Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, village leaders, traditional leaders, government institutions, law enforcement agencies, and other strategic stakeholders.
Lead the resolution of community issues, including land-related disputes, compensation claims, and social conflicts through persuasive communication and constructive negotiation.
Represent the Company in meetings, public consultations, community forums, and coordination with external stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and mitigate potential social risks that may impact operational activities.
Coordinate closely with Legal, Land Acquisition, Security, Mining Operations, and CSR teams to ensure effective stakeholder management.
Develop communication strategies to maintain the Company's reputation and strengthen public trust.
Monitor social, political, and regulatory developments surrounding the Company's operational area and provide strategic recommendations to Management.
Prepare periodic reports regarding stakeholder engagement, community issues, and external relations activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Law, Social & Political Science, Public Administration, or related fields.
Minimum 8 years of experience in External Relations, Government Relations, Community Relations, Corporate Affairs, Land Affairs, or Public Relations.
Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
Strong experience handling community engagement, stakeholder management, and social conflict resolution.
Experience managing land-related issues and negotiations within mining, plantation, infrastructure, energy, or other heavy industries is highly preferred.
Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
Strong understanding of government administration and regulatory processes.
Able to build trust and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Willing to travel and be based at the operational site as required.

SK.MPE/DJPU No.300.K/30/DJB/2009 dated May 14, 2009, and
SK.MPE/DJPU No.06.K/30/DJB/2011 dated January 28, 2011.
The Company’s concessions cover a total area of approximately 50,000 hectares and are currently in the production operation phase, located in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province.
The first CCoW is divided into seven blocks: North Keluang, South Keluang, Bandarjaya, Muara Teladan, Bedeng Genteng, Supat, and Lais.
The second CCoW consists of three blocks: Block A, Block B, and Block C, located in the districts of Sanga and Babat Toman.
