Job summary

A prominent shipbuilding company in Batam is seeking a Naval Architect/Marine Engineer. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, performing detailed design and drafting of ship structures, and supporting various marine engineering projects. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in offshore engineering and proficiency in relevant software. Strong English communication skills are a must.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Engineering Offshore & Shipbuilding.
  • Familiar with Integrated Nesting software such as Fast Cam, Win Cat, Turbonest.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety rules and regulations as per Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
  • Provide drawings and calculations for various plans as requested.
  • Review and check design drawings for customer satisfaction.
  • Perform detail design and drafting for shipbuilding and repairs.

Skills

Computer proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficiency in Aveva Marine
Experience with Femap
Knowledge of Staad Pro
Fluency in English

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set refer to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy by the yard.

  • Comply with manager, supervisors, Designer and Owner instructions and perform to achieve quality work.

  • Provide drawing with calculation for lifting plan, docking plan, launching & upslip plan as requested in new building, repair & conversion project at 3 yards (NMS, GTI & DWP).

  • Provide support to NMS modules as and when required.

  • Provide support on green recycling project for cutting plan, lifting plan, upslip plan as and when requested.

  • Provide structure analysis as requested for new building, repair & conversion project.

  • To check & troubleshoot in case have issue on site during progress of the project.

  • Review and checking design drawing to suit customer satisfaction and classification society.

  • Perform detail design/drafting of ship structure and outfitting for new shipbuilding and repairs/conversions

  • To achieve KPI engineering department.

Qualifications
  • Graduate in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or similar.

  • Computer proficient AutoCAD, Aveva Marine, Femap, Staad Pro

  • Able to speak and write in English.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Engineering Offshore & Shipbuilding

  • Familiar with AutoCad, Aveva Marine software, Femap, Staad Pro

  • Experience with Integrated Nesting software: Fast Cam, Win Cat, Turbonest
