Job summary

AYANA Hospitality in Bali seeks a proactive Head of Health, Safety & Environment to lead HSE across our resort and support sustainability programs. You will oversee risk assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance, and mentor teams to cultivate a strong safety culture.

Experience in hospitality and ISO standards is highly valued. This role is based at our Denpasar property with opportunities to collaborate across the AYANA portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in HSE with at least 3 years in a managerial/leadership role.
• Experience in hospitality, facility management, or large properties is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OHS, environmental regulations, waste management, fire & life safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience developing HSE policies, SOPs, audits, inspections, and emergency plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, HACCP, and local HSE regulations.
• Certified HSE professionals (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all HSE operations across the property.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Oversee emergency response, fire & life safety, and business continuity programs.
• Monitor environmental performance and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead HSE audits, inspections, and certification processes.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote a strong safety culture.
