Michael Page seeks an experienced Head of Logistics to lead a nationwide logistics and warehousing network in Indonesia. You will develop strategies for warehousing, transportation, and inventory while partnering with senior stakeholders to align operations with business goals.

With 10+ years in logistics and a track record of optimizing complex networks, you will coach a large team, drive cost efficiency, and ensure service levels across multi-site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Management or related field.
• 10+ years of logistics or supply chain experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, inventory and distribution operations.
• Experience managing large warehouse networks and 3PL providers.
• Knowledge of bonded logistics centers (PLB) and best practices.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Develop and execute logistics strategies that support business objectives and operational requirements.


• Oversee all logistics functions, including warehousing, transportation, distribution, shipping, and inventory management.


• Manage a network of warehouses to ensure efficient operations and service levels.


• Ensure the availability of spare parts, tyres, and operational materials to support business continuity.


• Drive inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining appropriate stock levels.


• Establish, review, and improve logistics policies, procedures, and controls in alignment with company standards and best practices.


• Manage relationships with logistics service providers, suppliers, transportation partners, and third‑party vendors.


• Evaluate and improve logistics performance through process enhancements, cost optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives.


• Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team to achieve operational and business targets.


• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support business and operational needs.


• Conduct regular visits to operational sites and warehouses as required.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.


• 10+ years of logistics or supply chain experience, including leadership responsibilities.


• Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and distribution operations.


• Experience managing large warehouse networks and third‑party logistics providers (3PL).


• Good knowledge of bonded logistics centers (PLB) and logistics best practices.


• Proven track record in inventory control, vendor management, and cost optimization.


• Experience supporting industrial, heavy equipment, manufacturing, mining, or related sectors is preferred.


• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving capabilities.
