Job summary

SAMIR, a leading fintech platform, seeks a Head of IT in Jakarta to oversee software development, product management, network and security, and data management. You will ensure availability, security, and continuous improvement of IT systems while collaborating with Operations to optimize processes.

The role leads Development, Product, Network & Security, Risk and Data teams; requires 9–10 years in a similar role, strong technical and leadership skills, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 9–10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fintech.
• Strong technical skills across programming languages, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong leadership with ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Strong POJK knowledge and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IT policies, security standards, and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in security.
• Manage IT vendors, budgets, licensing, and third-party services.
• Establish KPIs and SLAs; drive continuous improvement across IT.

Job description

As the Head of IT, you will oversee the end-to-end technology operations at SAMIR, including software development, product management, network and security, and data management. This role ensures the availability, security, and continuous improvement of IT systems while working closely with business teams, particularly Operations, to develop technology solutions that support and optimize business processes. The IT Manager leads the Development, Product, Network & Security, Risk and Data teams, ensuring all technology initiatives align with the company's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

Lead and oversee the Development, Product, Network & Security, and Data teams to ensure efficient technology operations and successful project delivery

Define and execute the company's IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives

Ensure the availability, scalability, security, and reliability of the company's applications, infrastructure, and data platforms

Partner with Operations and other business units to develop technology solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency

Oversee software development, product delivery, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, and data governance

Develop and maintain IT policies, security standards, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity procedures

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to technology and information security

Manage IT vendors, technology budgets, software licensing, and third-party services

Establish KPIs and service levels for technology operations and drive continuous improvement across all IT functions

Stay informed of emerging technologies and identify opportunities to enhance business capabilities through innovation

About you

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

At least 9-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the fintech industry

Strong technical skills, including experience with programming languages, database management, and cloud infrastructure

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team

Excellent communication in English with strong interpersonal skills

Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus

Strong POJK (Peraturan OJK) knowledge and understanding
