Job summary

Microsave Consulting seeks an Assistant Manager to advance inclusive financial ecosystems in Indonesia. You will help expand distribution networks, empower underserved communities, and collaborate with regulators and financial institutions to promote digital payments and agent networks.

The role involves supporting market research, drafting proposals, responding to RFPs, and presenting findings with data-driven insights. You will contribute to MSC toolkits and mentorship within the team.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree required or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in related field.
• Deep understanding of payment systems, merchant payments, and financial distribution networks.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and risk analysis.
• Experience in management consulting, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies (blockchain, AI, ML) and their banking applications.
• Strong networking within banking, fintech, and digital finance sectors.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strategic planning and execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior leadership to pitch, craft concept notes, respond to RFPs, and negotiate contracts.

Business Development

• Support the team on market research and analysis to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.

Requirements

• Postgraduate (MBA, International development, public administration, economics and allied)
• Minimum 4 years experience in related field
• Deep understanding of payment systems, merchant payments, merchant credit, financial distribution networks, including trends, regulations, and market dynamics.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, assess market trends, perform risk analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proven expertise in management consulting, including project management, stakeholder engagement, and client relationship management.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, AI, machine learning) and their applications in banking and finance.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills within the banking, fin tech, and digital finance sectors.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write reports, develop learning agendas, and present findings to various stakeholders.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal, and cross-cultural collaboration skills, with the ability to build and motivate diverse teams.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
