Job summary

PT Sinotif Indonesia is seeking an International Mathematics Teacher for our Bekasi secondary team. This full-time role delivers mathematics education aligned with international curricula and standards, inspiring students to develop mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mathematics or Mathematics Education and an internationally recognized teaching qualification, with at least 2 years of secondary teaching experience.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education and an internationally recognized teaching qualification.
Minimum of 2 years’ secondary-level mathematics teaching experience, preferably in international settings.
Familiarity with IB, Cambridge, or similar international curricula frameworks.
Strong English language skills, both written and spoken, for instruction and communication.
Ability to integrate technology and digital tools to enhance math learning.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with international curricula and standards.
Assess student understanding using formative and summative methods and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain records of academic performance and communicate progress to parents.

About the role

We are seeking a Guru Matematika Internasional (International Mathematics Teacher) to join our secondary education team in Bekasi, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering mathematics education aligned with international curricula and standards. As an International Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring students to develop mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a genuine appreciation for the subject. This position is essential to our mission of providing world-class education and preparing students for international examinations and further academic pursuits.

Key responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that align with international curricula standards and learning objectives
Assess student understanding and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods
Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain detailed records of academic performance
Develop and use differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and abilities within the classroom
Prepare students for international mathematics examinations and standardised tests
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, teaching resources and best practice approaches
Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities and school initiatives
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements
Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student curiosity and academic growth
Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular mathematics activities where appropriate

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related discipline from an accredited institution
Teaching qualification or certification recognised internationally (such as PGCE, Diploma in Education or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, preferably within an international or international-standards school environment
Demonstrated knowledge of international mathematics curricula such as IB (International Baccalaureate), Cambridge, or similar frameworks
Strong command of English language, both written and spoken, for effective classroom instruction and professional communication
Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
Passion for mathematics education and commitment to student-centred, innovative teaching approaches
Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and professional responsibility
Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to contribute beyond the classroom to support school activities and initiatives
