Your Role As a GPFS Storage Engineer, you will provide hands‑on administration and incident resolution for IBM Spectrum Scale / General Parallel File System (GPFS) and associated storage infrastructure. You will own service restoration for common cluster, Network Shared Disk (NSD), path, node and performance issues, while escalating complex architectural or code‑level conditions to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME) or vendor. This is a hands‑on operations role for someone who enjoys diagnosing storage issues, restoring critical services and improving operational resilience.
This role gives you the opportunity to deepen your expertise in enterprise and high‑performance storage while building broader skills across Linux, storage networking, performance engineering and service reliability. As your experience grows, you can expand into senior storage engineering, SME, architecture or technical leadership paths, supported by continuous learning and hands‑on experience in mission‑critical environments.
