Job summary

Lancesoft APAC is seeking a Go developer to design and maintain RESTful APIs using Gin. You will optimize data access with GORM/SQLX, work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and implement Temporal workflows for durable processes.

Collaborate across product, frontend, and DevOps to ensure robust API contracts and smooth deployments. 1–3 years of Go experience and strong SQL skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 1–3 years in Go development.
• Proficiency with Go concepts: goroutines, channels, context, and error handling.
• Built REST APIs with Go frameworks (Gin, Echo, Fiber, or Chi).
• Comfortable with GORM and writing SQL when needed.
• Strong PostgreSQL fundamentals and query optimization.
• Version control with Git; basic Docker skills.
• Independent learning and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Go using Gin.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Go using the Gin framework
2. Model and opTImize data access layers with GORM and/or SQLX, including raw SQL when performance requires it
3. Design schemas, write migraTIons, and tune queries across PostgreSQL and MongoDB
4. Implement durable, long-running business processes as Temporal workflows and acTIviTIes including retries,TImeouts, compensaTIon logic, and idempotency
5. Build asynchronous, event-driven services using message queues (RabbitMQ / Ka a / NATS / Redis Streams) producers, consumers, dead-le er handling, and backpressure
6. Write unit and integraTIon tests; parTIcipate in code review
7. Instrument services with structured logging, metrics, and tracing; help debug producTIon incidents
8. Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps on API contracts and deployment

Qualifications

Primary QualificaTIons

1. EducaTIon: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, InformaTIon Technology, So ware Engineering, DataScience, or a related field. Equivalent pracTIcal experience may be considered.
2. Experience: 1-3 Year
3. Skills:
   1. 1 3 years wriTIng Go professionally (internships and serious side projects count toward the lower end)
   2. Working knowledge of gorouTInes, channels, context, and Go's error handling - not just syntax, but whenconcurrency helps and when it hurts
   3. Built REST APIs with Gin, Echo, Fiber, or Chi
   4. Comfortable with an ORM (GORM ideally) and able to write plain SQL when needed
   5. Solid PostgreSQL fundamentals: joins, transacTIons, indexes, and why a query is slow
   6. Git and basic Docker
   7. Reads documentaTIon independently and asks good quesTIons when stuck
4. Interpersonal and CommunicaTIon Skills:
   1. Strong analyTIcal and problem-solving abiliTIes.
   2. Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
