Job summary

PT Bumi Amartha Teknologi Mandiri (AMARTEK) is hiring a middleware engineer in Jakarta to develop, maintain and optimize backend services using Golang. You will design RESTful APIs and integration components, drive scalable middleware across internal and external systems, and work with DevOps, QA, and backend teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, preferably middleware, backend, or system integration.
• Strong programming skills in Golang (Go).
• Proven experience developing middleware applications, backend services, or integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API and microservices architecture.
• Experience with system-to-system integration and API integration.
• Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML, and API communication.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications is preferred.
• Familiarity with message brokers or asynchronous communication such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices is preferred.
• Good knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance middleware applications and integration services using Golang.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs, backend services, and integration components to support communication between applications and systems.
• Develop and maintain middleware services that facilitate integration between internal applications, external systems, databases, and third‑party services.
• Implement reliable, scalable, and high-performance services using Golang and microservices architecture.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective middleware and integration solutions.
• Integrate systems through REST API, HTTP/HTTPS, messaging, and other integration protocols as required.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization for middleware applications and services.
• Ensure application security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Work with database systems to support data integration, transaction processing, and backend services.
• Develop unit tests and perform integration testing to ensure application quality and stability.
• Collaborate with Backend Developers, System Analysts, DevOps Engineers, QA Engineers, and other technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices.
• Monitor and resolve issues in development, staging, and production environments.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to middleware services, APIs, integrations, and system architecture.
