Job summary

TMF Group seeks an Assistant Manager – Payroll Services to support the Manager in delivering high-quality payroll and related services. The role may involve leading a team of Executives and Senior Executives to ensure accuracy and compliance across client portfolios.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in payroll services, strong knowledge of local regulations, and proficiency in payroll software. English and Bahasa communication skills are essential for global client interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in payroll services, outsourcing or large-scale payroll in MNCs.
• Proven supervisory experience in payroll teams.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and related IT applications.
• Strong knowledge of local employment regulations, tax practices, pension schemes, and related legislation.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Strong leadership and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients within the Payroll Services Department.
• Lead and guide junior staff in delivering payroll, leave management, and tax filing services.
• Advise clients on payroll-related matters.
• Maintain highest integrity and confidentiality of client data.
• Provide guidance to Executives and Senior Executives as a technical expert.
• Supervise and review subordinates’ work.
• Assist Manager in monitoring team productivity and effectiveness.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
