Qualifications

• A Ph.D. or Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in English language teaching and program management, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in an online educational context.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Deep understanding of curriculum development, instructional design, and quality assurance in language education.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technology platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall strategic vision and operational plan for the English Language Department.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of English instructors and curriculum developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of all English language curricula and learning materials.
• Establish and maintain high standards for teaching quality, student engagement, and learning outcomes across all programs.
• Implement robust quality assurance processes to monitor teaching effectiveness and student satisfaction.
• Analyze performance data and learner feedback to drive data-informed decision-making and program enhancements.
• Collaborate with other department heads and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the organization's broader goals.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively to optimize operational efficiency.
• Stay at the forefront of educational technology and pedagogical research, integrating innovative approaches into the department's offerings.
• Represent the English Language Department in internal and external communications as required.
