Job summary

ADM Indonesia seeks a trader to merchandise grains such as soybean and feed ingredients like soybean meal and corn gluten meal to meet sales targets and generate significant financial returns. You will buy and sell commodities at optimal times, develop ADM’s distribution operations, and maintain strong customer relationships while communicating market insights.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business, Agribusiness, or related field, 3–5 years in Agricultural Commodities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business, Agribusiness, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Agricultural Commodities Trading (e.g., Soybean, Corn, Soybean Meal, Corn Gluten Meal).
• Experience in international agricultural commodities trading.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to take initiative and think critically.
• A customer-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial approach.

Responsibilities

• Identify business growth opportunities and assess market trends.
• Analyze the commodity portfolio to uncover potential trading opportunities.
• Apply appropriate trading strategies in response to various market conditions or economic trends.
• Lead negotiations for buying and selling activities to maximize profitability.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on purchasing and sales decisions.
• Monitor supply and demand dynamics that influence trades and valuations.
• Track international market performance and trends.
• Manage customer relationships and maintain strong connections with key market players.
• Cultivate and nurture long-term business relationships with existing clients and potential trading partners.
• Drive operational efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the operations team to oversee the physical settlement of commodities.
