Job summary
Tetra Tech Coffey is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist / Civil Engineer for tailings dam construction monitoring on a 12-month FIFO Perth, Australia to Sulawesi, Indonesia project.
You will lead on-site QA/QC, supervise field testing and instrumentation, review submittals, and ensure compliance with design, HSE and regulatory requirements. The role offers international exposure and strong professional development within a global engineering team.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering.
- 6+ years geotechnical experience with 3+ years on tailings or large earthworks.
- Strong field QA/QC, instrumentation and report writing skills.
- Strong communication and ability to work with clients and multicultural teams.
Responsibilities
- On-site construction monitoring, QA/QC and inspection of tailings dam works.
- Supervise field testing, instrumentation installation and routine monitoring.
- Review contractor submittals and prepare inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with design, specifications, HSE and regulatory requirements.
