Job summary

pt indexim coalindo is seeking an experienced Manager Geotechnical, Hydrology & Pit Project Development to lead geotechnical engineering for mining operations. The role focuses on safety, risk mitigation, and sustainable performance across open pit and underground projects.

The candidate will oversee a geotechnical team, collaborate with design and operations, and ensure compliance with regulations while leveraging geotechnical software and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Experience leading a geotechnical team on mining projects.
• Understand mining industry tech, regs and evolving technologies.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret geotechnical data.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and management.
• Experience with geotechnical software; certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of mining operations from geotechnical perspective and mitigate risks.
• Establish geotechnical guidelines and emergency procedures with mine operations.
• Provide guidance for geotechnical decisions to maintain efficiency and sustainability.
• Develop and lead geotechnical team to support operations.
• Maintain relationships with geotechnical service providers for project support.
• Collaborate with geotechnical design teams for open pit and underground projects.
• Align with mine planning, operations, site management and contractors.
