Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a GT Thermal Specialist in Indonesia to design and develop mechanical systems used in gas turbine components and related electromechanical assemblies. The role focuses on programming robots for HVOF and Plasma coating, setting up equipment, and ensuring process conformance.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with thermal spray coating, reading technical drawings, and performing coating inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of robot programming in thermal spray or related automated manufacturing.
• Experience in gas turbine component repair is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Knowledge of coating thickness and adhesion verification.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform robot programming for HVOF and Plasma coating on turbine components.
• Prepare components, tooling, fixtures, and coating equipment.
• Set up and operate HVOF/Plasma coating systems per process parameters.
• Verify coating process parameters and in-process quality checks.
• Masking, grit blasting, surface preparation, and post-coating finishing.
• Review drawings and repair procedures prior to coating.
• Maintain production and process records per quality requirements.
• Support coating process troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Follow safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
