Job summary

Autobahn Security in Jakarta seeks a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our product team and own features end-to-end. You will build frontend interfaces and robust APIs, ensuring quality through tests while collaborating with cybersecurity experts across our Indonesian and European teams.

You should have 5+ years of experience, excellent English, and a track record of delivering production features with ownership.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack ownership.
• Strong frontend skills with React/TypeScript and backend with Python/Go/Node.js.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Hands-on with agentic coding tools and AI-assisted workflows.

We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer in Jakarta — and we'd love it to be you.

Autobahn is a technology start-up on a mission to make cybersecurity and vulnerability management accessible to all. Our SaaS product has been developed by some of the world’s finest cybersecurity researchers and experts. Our office in Indonesia develops the cutting-edge software that underpins the Autobahn Security approach.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing our vulnerability management tool, "Autobahn". You will work with high-level designs and be trusted to turn them into well-tested, high-quality code. You will be part of one of our product development teams, each of which owns its part of the product end-to-end — with you building the services and interfaces behind our cybersecurity SaaS product.

What you'll actually do

• Own features end-to-end: refine requirements with product and design, shape the technical approach, build both frontend and backend, ship it, and stay accountable for it in production.
• Build user-facing interfaces and the APIs, services, and data models that power them.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code, and raise the bar for others through design discussions and code reviews.
• Use agentic coding tools as a core part of your daily workflow — scoping work for AI agents, reviewing their output critically, and helping the team get better at working with them.
• Generate ideas, not just tickets: spot gaps in the product, propose solutions, prototype fast, and turn the promising experiments into shipped features.
• Collaborate daily in English with product managers, designers, and cybersecurity experts across our Indonesian and European teams.
• Monitor what you ship — investigate production issues, improve performance, reliability, and security over time.
• Contribute to our engineering culture: technical decisions, standards, developer experience, and mentoring less experienced engineers.

You’ll feel right at home if you have

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with real full-stack ownership (not just one side of the stack).
• Strong frontend skills with a modern framework — [React / TypeScript] — and solid backend experience with [Python/ Go / Node.js], relational databases, and REST APIs.
• Excellent written and spoken English. You can run a meeting, write a clear design doc, and disagree productively with a colleague in another timezone.
• A demonstrable sense of ownership. You can point to features you drove from vague idea to production — and that you kept caring about after launch.
• Hands-on experience with agentic coding (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex). You know where agents accelerate you, where they don't, and how to review what they produce.
• High creativity — you bring new ideas, challenge assumptions, and are not satisfied with "it works".
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a start-up environment.

Nice to have

• Background in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or a security-adjacent product.
• Experience integrating LLMs into production products.
• Experience working in a distributed, multicultural engineering team.
• Open source contributions or side projects you're proud of.
