Job summary

Sun Life in Jakarta is seeking a skilled Front-end Developer to build and maintain responsive web interfaces, collaborating with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences across devices and browsers.

You will work with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js or Angular), HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs, and state management tools, contribute to code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines, and uphold performance and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade APIs and services.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex multi-team environment.
• Proficiency in English; Bahasa Indonesia.

Job Description / Description Du Poste

• Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces; implement UI components based on designs from the UI/UX designer, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.
• Integrate web interfaces with backend APIs and services; collaborate with the backend engineer to define and consume API contracts, ensuring seamless data flow between client and server layers.
• Optimize web application performance including page load times, bundle sizes, and rendering efficiency; conduct regular profiling and implement improvements to meet SLI performance benchmarks.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and technical planning; adhere to SLI front-end coding standards and contribute to shared component libraries used across the platform.
• Maintain accurate API documentation, system diagrams, and technical runbooks;

• - Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks: React, Vue.js, or Angular
• HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON data structures
• State management libraries (e.g. Redux, Vuex, or equivalent)
• Web performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, caching)
• Version control using Git; experience with CI/CD pipelines - Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (Figma) and ability to translate designs into pixel-accurate interfaces
• Basic understanding of web security best practices (XSS prevention, CSRF protection)
