Job summary

GoTo Group in Indonesia seeks a Fleet Operations Lead to drive end-to-end asset management and the rollout of maintenance and collaboration with partners across multiple cities. You will design systems, set quality standards, and build internal capabilities where needed.

You will lead end-to-end fleet operations, ensure regulatory compliance, negotiate with third-party workshops, and manage budgets to enable scalable growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Business Operations (MBA a plus).
• 6+ years in Fleet Operations or related fields with 3+ years in a lead role.
• Strong knowledge of fleet systems, telematics, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Formulate end-to-end vehicle asset management strategies aligned with fleet goals.
• Oversee maintenance programs and manage third-party workshops with SLAs.
• Enforce SOPs, vehicle allocation, check-in/check-out, and inspections.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Fleet Operations Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in operations and relationship management, which will both be critical as they design and build systems to manage major fleets across multiple cities in Indonesia.

A key part of the role is to identify and strengthen the partnerships used to expand carpool operations, repair networks and EV charging capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for operational excellence across each of these, working across partners to set quality standards and hold teams to account when they are not living up to expectations. There will be a considerable strategic element to the role, as you will have considerable input about how best to design the overall system to get the best results.

There would also be opportunities to build internal capabilities where needed. If it is more effective for us to manage a key element of say driver acquisition, carpool management or emergency response, then you would expand the fleet organization to ensure those responsibilities are covered.

Your efforts will play a central role in building one of the country’s largest fleets, and as you mature in the role we hope that you will be firmly entrenched as a GoTo operational leader, with substantial opportunities to grow within the organization.

• Formulate and execute end-to-end vehicle asset management strategies aligned with overall 1P RAB Fleet business goals.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs across the entire fleet & manage strategic partnerships with third-party workshops, negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and strictly control theCost per Vehicle per Month.
• Enforce operational discipline and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across carpools (including check-in/check-out processes, physical unit inspections, vehicle allocation, and handovers).
• Ensure full regulatory compliance for all fleet assets (vehicle tax/STNK, roadworthiness/KIR, and required operational permits).
• Oversee the end-to-end insurance claim process for damaged/accident-involved vehicles to minimize financial loss and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare and manage the operational budget (OPEX) for Vehicle Operations, including maintenance, pool facility maintenance, and incident recovery costs.

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics/Supply Chain, or Business Operations (Master’s/MM/MBA is a plus).
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Fleet Operations, Car Rental Management, Logistics Operations, or Automotive Fleet Management, with at least 3 years in a Lead role. Preferred background in Manufacturing / Logistics/Express, Car Rental & Leasing Services, or Large-scale Fleet Operators.
• Deep understanding of Fleet Management Systems (FMS), Telematics/GPS tracking, and operational fleet analytics.
• Strong automotive technical knowledge (vehicle mechanical diagnosis, repair estimations, and workshop cost controls).
• Proven track record in managing large-scale carpool operations and third-party MPO/outsourced manpower().
• Solid grasp of fleet compliance regulations (Samsat, KIR, and Commercial Auto Insurance claims).
• Strong strategic leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills for handling dynamic field operations.
• High-level vendor negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
