Job summary

Soechi Group in Indonesia seeks a seasoned Marine Engineer to ensure safe ship operations and serve as a link between the company and on-board personnel for safety and pollution prevention. The role requires strong leadership, English proficiency, and extensive tanker experience.

Responsibilities include supervising vessels, approving maintenance, and implementing planned maintenance systems to keep ships in optimal condition while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Marine Engineer Class 1 certification / ATT-1 requirement.
• 5 contracts as Chief Engineer on oil/chemical/gas tanker desired.
• Extensive knowledge of tanker machineries; familiar with dry-docking.
• Strong analytical, proactive leadership, and teamwork capabilities.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise vessels and ensure effective technical superintendent operations.
• Approve maintenance and repair work of vessels.
• Ensure engine room crew management and knowledge quality.
• Implement PMS to keep vessels in optimal condition and manage costs.
• Collaborate with marine, crewing, and purchasing for smooth operation.
• Monitor safety, regulatory compliance, and vessel inspections.
• Approve materials/spares purchases proposed by the superintendent.
• Develop team and implement each SOP.
