Job summary

Save the Children Indonesia is seeking a Driver/Mechanic to provide transport services for staff and guests and to ensure vehicle maintenance in line with SCI policy. The role requires keeping vehicles clean, safe, and fuelled for field trips and daily operations.

You will perform regular checks, document logs, coordinate with the fleet team, supervise 3rd party maintenance, and assist in loading cargo. English and local language will be an advantage; a valid driving licence and mechanical

Qualifications

• Secondary or Primary School Level
• English Language and local language will be added advantage
• Valid Driving Licence
• Training from recognised Mechanical institute
• Previous experience (2 years) and knowledge of INGO.

Responsibilities

• Provide transport service to SCI staff, visitors and other guests as per instructions.
• Ensure vehicle policy adherence and cleanliness.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and in good condition; ensure fuel before trips.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle maintenance checks.
• Maintain vehicle logs and submit monthly to supervisor.
• Ensure vehicle is used for assigned purpose with prior authorisation.
• Follow SCI driving safety regulations and traffic rules.
• Report maintenance needs and accidents promptly.
• Assist in Local Purchases and loading of cargo as needed.
• Inspect fleet condition and coordinate with fleet officer for repairs.
• Oversee 3rd party maintenance to ensure genuine parts and high standards.
• Update fleet inspection reports and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle repair requirements and safety policies.
