Job summary

Grab Rentals ID. in BSD Pool, Tangerang, Indonesia, seeks a Fleet Assessor Associate to perform vehicle assessments and inspections ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and safety regulations. You will document findings and support fleet efficiency initiatives.

You will report to the Assistant Manager of Fleet Insurance & Disposal, contributing to a data-driven approach across fleet operations with a focus on reliability and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in automotive/mechanical engineering, business administration or related field.
• 3+ years of fleet assessment, vehicle operations, or structured vehicle inspections.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic tools safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of vehicle condition, performance, and maintenance needs using diagnostic tools and established safety standards.
• Detect mechanical issues, wear, and safety risks to support interventions.
• Ensure fleet vehicles meet safety regulations and organizational policies.
• Systematically organize and update inspection data in fleet management systems.
• Track operational patterns to uncover efficiency, safety, and preventative care opportunities.
• Share diagnostic findings and recommended corrective actions with the team.
• Manage inspection schedules to ensure timely evaluations.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations to support informed decisions.

Get to Know the Team

We are Grab Rentals ID. We provide fleet supply to Grab, serving the non bank-able partner to work as Grab's driver-partner. In the Fleet team, we identify opportunities to maintain the competitive cost to serve through maintenance strategy, strategic partnership and excellence process in vehicle operating process. We are serving 11 cities and in Jabodetabek we have 5 different pool locations.

Get to Know the Role

We are seeking a Fleet Assessor Associate to join our team in our BSD Pool, Tangerang, Indonesia. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and inspections of fleet vehicles to ensure compliance with maintenance standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and performance of our fleet operations through evaluation and documentation. You will report to the Assistant Manager of Fleet Insurance & Disposal.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Conduct assessments of vehicle condition, performance, and maintenance needs using diagnostic tools and established safety standards.
• Promptly detect mechanical issues, wear, and potential safety risks to support interventions.
• Ensure all fleet vehicles align with industry safety regulations and organizational policies.
• Systematically organize and update inspection data and findings within fleet management systems for complete transparency.
• Track operational patterns to uncover opportunities for fleet-wide efficiency, safety enhancements, and preventative care.
• Share diagnostic findings and recommended corrective actions openly with team members to resolve issues.
• Manage inspection schedules thoughtfully to ensure all evaluations are completed within agreed-upon timelines.
• Prepare clear, accessible reports and presentations that support informed decision-making across diverse organizational teams.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive / Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in fleet assessment, vehicle operations, or structured vehicle inspections.
• Comfortable understanding automotive systems, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and operating diagnostic tools safely.
• Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards, safety guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in navigating fleet management platforms, logging inspection data, and using workplace computer systems.
• High level of accuracy and care when evaluating vehicles, tracking findings, and organizing records.
• Willing to be based in BSD Pool, Tangerang.
