Job summary

Golden Agri Resources is seeking a dedicated Operation Controller to support the BU CFOs and BU heads in end-to-end finance matters at the Medan Refinery. You will coordinate with finance teams, prioritize BU needs, and provide product costing analysis across refineries while ensuring robust budgeting and forecasting processes.

The role requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least 2 years in operations controlling, and English fluency (Mandarin is a plus).

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as Operation Controller.
• Experience as internal auditor from KAP.
• Detail oriented and good in analytical thinking.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin speaking can be advantageous.
• Willing to be located in Medan Refinery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Finance teams within the CFO and outside the CFO organization.
• Act as a counsellor for finance matters & help prioritize and setup BU needs.
• Consolidate and provide analysis on product costing across refineries.
• Ensure efficient refinery-level financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Review and analyze financial and operation performance of refineries regularly and ensure regular discussions take place.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify improvement steps for refineries.
• Review major investments, major disposal or strategic business decisions (Capex feasibility studies) from finance perspective.
• Provide recommendation & initiatives to improve cost efficiencies, productivity and controls for refineries.
• Ensure appropriate controls are implemented during procurement process (e.g. proper QCF, effective price comparisons) and physical inventory and fixed asset monitoring process.
• Ensure effective operations control measures are in place across units.
• Monitor overall controls and compliance with policies/SOPs in each refinery.
