Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jakarta is seeking a Finance Intern to support the Finance Department in daily operations, reporting, and compliance within a hotel finance environment. You will gain hands-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost control, and financial analysis, reporting to the Finance Manager and collaborating with the Finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong interest in hospitality finance and accounting.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and financial software is an advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Support accounts receivable functions, including billing and collections.
• Help maintain accurate records of financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Assist in compiling data for budget tracking and variance analysis.
• Help monitor departmental expenses and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.
• Contribute to internal audits and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with operational departments (F&B, Rooms, Spa) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Liaise with suppliers and external partners regarding billing and payment matters.
• Provide administrative support for finance-related documentation and filing.
• Assist in maintaining budget trackers and financial databases.
• Support the preparation of purchase requests and payment authorizations.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the department head.

As Finance Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:
