Job summary

Smoore Technology Indonesia is seeking a seasoned finance professional to act as the primary financial liaison across manufacturing and business units. You will drive monthly reviews, budgeting, KPI definition, and complex cost analyses to enable informed business decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in cost accounting within large MNCs, strong Excel and SAP skills, and fluent English with a Mandarin baseline as a helpful asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or Audit.
• 5+ years of experience, preferably in large multinationals with cost accounting background.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on corporate finance or factory accounting experience.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); basic Mandarin is a strong asset.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with commercial units on pricing, cost calculations, and negotiations.
• Lead monthly business reviews and define KPIs; build dynamic financial models.
• Prepare annual budgets and perform variance analysis to drive corrective actions.
• Understand manufacturing workflows to streamline operations and provide financial support.
• Manage factory costs and overheads; conduct cost analysis and recommend savings.
• Review expenses and procurement to flag anomalies and guide process improvements.
• Oversee month-end closing, cost accruals, production order errors, and inventory counts.

Job description

• Commercial Partnering & Pricing: Act as the primary financial liaison for business units, ensuring accurate cost calculations, managing commercial quotes, and actively participating in business negotiations.
• Financial Modeling & Business Analysis: Lead monthly business reviews, define core KPIs, and build dynamic financial analysis models to establish a two-way feedback loop with operations.
• Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Formulate annual budgets, monitor key financial metrics, and perform deep-dive variance analysis between monthly forecasts and actuals to drive corrective actions.
• Process Optimization: Gain a deep understanding of manufacturing and business workflows to continuously streamline operations and provide strategic financial support across departments.
• Cost & Expense Control: Manage factory manufacturing costs and overheads, independently conducting deep-dive cost analysis to pitch actionable cost-saving recommendations.
• Process Audit & Risk Advisory: Review daily operational expenses and procurement requests to flag financial anomalies and guide business teams on process improvements.
• Month-End Closing & Inventory Control: Oversee factory month-end closing activities, including cost accruals, production order error tracking, and physical inventory stock-takes.

Job Requirements

• Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or Audit. Professional qualifications such as CMA or ACCA are highly preferred.
• Supervisor: 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within large multinational corporations (MNCs) with a heavy background in cost accounting.
• Specialist: 2 to 5 years of hands-on corporate finance or factory accounting experience.
• Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in both spoken and written English. Basic conversational Mandarin (Chinese) is a strong asset and can offset other criteria.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Hands-on experience as an end-user in SAP is a major advantage.
• Soft Skills: High sense of accountability, strong proactive mindset, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills to bridge finance and operations.
