Job summary

Maju Makmur Group in Biak, Papua, Indonesia is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager with at least 5 years in a FAM role. You will lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, tax, AR/AP, auditing, and internal controls within retail or multi-store operations.

The ideal candidate will command in-depth knowledge of retail inventory, COGS, margins, stock variance and working capital, plus the ability to develop business plans and financial projections.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications & Key Requirements – Finance & Accounting Manager (FAM)

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications are an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Finance & Accounting Manager (FAM) role.

Industry Experience:

Proven experience in Retail, FMCG, Distribution, or multi-store/multi-branch business operations.

Financial Expertise:

Strong command of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, taxation, accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), auditing, cost control, and internal controls.

Retail Financial Management:

In-depth understanding of retail inventory management, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), gross margin, stock variance, inventory shrinkage, store/category-level profitability, and working capital management.

Business Planning & Financial Modeling:

Proven ability to develop business plans, annual budgets, financial projections, and short- and long-term business strategies.

*Strategic Business Acumen:

Ability to translate financial data into actionable business strategies to support business expansion, sales growth, margin optimization, and overall corporate profitability.

Systems & Reporting Proficiency:

Proficiency in HashMicro or equivalent accounting/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel, with the ability to deliver insightful financial reports and strategic analyses to the Board of Directors.

Financial Performance Management:

Ability to establish, monitor, and evaluate Financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and develop corrective action plans when actual performance deviates from targets.

Leadership & Team Development:

Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to build, lead, and develop an accountable, high-performing Finance & Accounting team.

Core Competencies:

Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and ethical, with strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and managerial communication skills.
