Job Title: Finance & Accounting Staff (Mandarin Speaking)

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and structured Finance & Accounting Staff based in Batam. This role focuses on daily financial data processing, bookkeeping, and general accounts administration while maintaining seamless communication with our regional stakeholders and management.

If you have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, high attention to detail, and fluent Mandarin communication skills, we would love to have you on our team. Prior experience with Singapore GST or tax regulations is not required—training and guidance will be provided for candidates with strong accounting fundamentals and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Transaction Processing & Bookkeeping (Data Entry)

• Accurately process and record daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Enter purchase invoices, sales receipts, expense claims, and vendor bills into the accounting system.
• Maintain clean, organized digital filing systems for all invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documentation.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and verify transaction details for accuracy.

2. Tax Support & Cross-Border Documentation (Training Provided)

• Assist the senior finance team in gathering and organizing financial data for quarterly Singapore GST returns and IRAS filings.
• Support the preparation of financial schedules and supporting documents for corporate income tax reporting.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for cross-border transactions between Indonesia and Singapore.
• Learn and adapt to basic Singapore tax rules with ongoing guidance from management.

3. Reporting & Operational Support

• Assist in month-end accounts closing and basic journal entry preparation.
• Support audit preparations by providing complete schedules and supporting receipts/documents.
• Perform routine administrative, financial reporting, and communication tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or general finance administration.
• Language Skills (Mandatory): Fluent in Mandarin (spoken) is strictly required for daily communication with regional stakeholders and management. Working proficiency in English or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
• Singapore Tax Knowledge (Bonus / Optional): Prior experience or basic understanding of Singapore GST/IRAS regulations is a strong plus, but not mandatory.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience using cloud accounting software.
• Key Attributes: High accuracy in data entry, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, willingness to learn, and reliable in meeting deadlines.
