Job summary

Johnson Controls in Jakarta is seeking a Service Sales Engineer to bridge field service and sales for industrial refrigeration systems. You will engage customers to understand plant conditions, service needs, and performance expectations, then shape service proposals and warranties.

You will collaborate with sales, service, and project teams to deliver practical solutions, travel to sites as needed, and ensure long-term customer relationships and reliable system operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical diploma in mechanical engineering, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
• Experience in industrial refrigeration service, service sales, or technical sales support.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressors, controls.
• Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, SLDs, MCC diagrams).
• Experience creating technical recommendations and customer-facing presentations.
• Good communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding site priorities, service requirements, and long-term asset performance goals.
• Identify service opportunities through customer visits, plant audits, technical discussions, and review of operating conditions.
• Prepare and support proposals for service, maintenance, commissioning support, troubleshooting, overhaul, installation, and warranty repair activities.
• Collaborate with the sales team and buyers to develop and manage new or expanded performance guarantees for implemented or deployed products.
• Work with service engineers and internal stakeholders to scope work accurately, clarify technical needs, and ensure smooth handover from sale to execution.
• Review plant condition and translate field findings into clear recommendations, customer reports, and commercially sound actions.
• Monitor assigned customer activity and support consistency with contractual obligations, service commitments, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate with operations on smaller projects and service assignments to help deliver agreed outcomes on time and to quality standards.
• Communicate progress, findings, and next steps clearly with customers and internal teams throughout the sales and service process.
