Job summary

Beyondsoft International (Indonesia) Pte. Ltd. invites applications for a Field Service Engineer (DCS) to support offshore oil & gas platform operations in Indonesia (WHCPP and FSO) on a 6-month contract.

The role requires hands-on DCS experience, especially with Honeywell Experion PKS, SAT, and offshore commissioning. You will coordinate site installation, testing, startup support, and rotation schedules, extending beyond six months if the project warrants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on DCS experience in Oil & Gas (offshore preferred).
• Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS controllers and I/O modules.
• Proven SAT experience for control, network and cabinet testing.

Responsibilities

• Verify, supervise, and execute site installation, energization, and commissioning.
• Power up and configure Honeywell PKS components and operator workstations.
• Lead SAT for hardware, networks, and software applications per procedures.
• Verify control strategies, interlocks, shutdowns, alarms, and HMI graphics.
• Support field I/O loop checks and test SCADA interfaces with vendors.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and startup support until stable operations.

Job Description

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer (DCS) for a 6-month contract to support offshore oil & gas platform operations in Indonesia (WHCPP and FSO).

• Verify, supervise, and execute site installation, energization, and commissioning of DCS system cabinets, marshalling panels, network cabinets, and operator consoles against approved GA drawings and BOM.
• Power up and configure Honeywell Experion PKS controllers (C300), Series C I/O modules, Engineering Workstations (EWS), Operator Workstations (OWS), and servers.
• Lead Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for hardware, networks, and software applications, ensuring strict compliance with approved project procedures and specifications.
• Verify control strategies, functional logic sequences (interlocks, permissives, shutdown functions), alarm management, historical databases, and HMI Web Display graphics/navigation.
• Support field I/O loop checking from marshalling cabinets to field instruments. Coordinate and test SCADA communication interfaces with third-party vendors.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting, system optimization, and technical assistance during plant startup until stable operations are achieved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on DCS experience, specifically within the Oil & Gas sector (Offshore/WHCPP/FSO preferred).
• Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS (C300 controllers, I/O modules, EWS/OWS workstations).
• Commissioning & SAT: Proven track record in cabinet energization, system startup, and executing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for control, network, and marshalling cabinets.
• Skilled in functional logic verification (interlocks, shutdown sequences), HMI graphic configuration, and alarm/trend displays.
• Proficient in I/O loop checking, troubleshooting field signals, and conducting SCADA interface testing with third-party systems.
• Able to read and verify GA drawings, wiring diagrams, cabinet layouts, P&IDs, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Willing to work offshore in Indonesia under a site rotation schedule (e.g., 3-to-4 weeks on-site / off-site rotation).
• Available for a 6-month contract (Extendable)
• approx. September 2026 – February 2027.
