Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Civil Earthwork Engineer for Jakarta to lead civil earthworks packages including alignments, grading, and drainage interfaces on a full-time basis.

You will develop material-balance studies, prepare detailed design calculations, and coordinate with geotechnical, environmental, and construction teams to ensure safety and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/BSc).
• 10+ years of relevant experience in civil earthworks.
• Experience in detailed design of cut-and-fill optimisation, material balance, access roads and drainage interfaces.
• Strong English communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of civil packages covering alignments, grading, site clearance, cut and fill, formations, pads and construction access.
• Develop material-balance, mass-haul, borrow-source, spoil-disposal, laydown and staging assessments.
• Prepare and check calculations, design reports, specifications, quantity take-offs, BOQ inputs, drawings and models.
• Coordinate earthworks with geotechnical, drainage, bridge, conveyor, power, utilities, environmental and construction requirements.
• Consider road and platform geometry, trafficability, heavy and oversized vehicles and temporary works.
• Contribute to staging, assumptions, risk controls, tolerances and safety-in-design inputs.
• Review terrain, survey and LiDAR information and identify information gaps that may affect design or quantities.
• Direct and coordinate the work of assigned designers, lead package reviews, participate in site visits and resolve technical queries within delegated authority.

What you will have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience in civil earthworks, roads, platform grading or linear infrastructure.
• Experience in detailed design of cut-and-fill optimisation, material balance, access roads, facility pads and drainage interfaces.
• Experience preparing coordinated calculations, reports, specifications, drawings and quantities for construction.
• Good professional English communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
