Worley in Jakarta is seeking a senior civil/structural bridge engineer to lead design packages on major projects. You will develop models, prepare calculations, drawings and specifications, and coordinate with geotechnical, civil, drainage and road teams.

The role requires a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, 10+ years of bridge experience, and strong English communication. Worley offers diverse projects and a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Proof of degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years in bridge or major civil-structure design.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and/or structural steel bridge design.
• Experience producing construction-ready calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Strong professional English communication and problem-solving.

Responsabilités

• Develop bridge models and design all bridge elements.
• Apply vehicle, dead, dynamic, wind, seismic, hydraulic, scour, debris and construction loads.
• Prepare calculations, notes, reports, specifications, drawings, material take-offs and quantity inputs.
• Coordinate foundations and bridge approaches with geotechnical, civil, drainage and road requirements.
• Develop and recommend bridge alternatives, culvert options, span optimisation, staging, erection and temporary-access solutions for assigned packages.
• Develop concrete, reinforcement, steel, piling, foundation and scour-protection details.
• Resolve interfaces through coordinated models, drawings and review registers.

What You Will Do

• Develop bridge models and design superstructures, substructures, foundations, bearings, joints and associated elements.
• Apply relevant vehicle, dead, dynamic, braking, wind, seismic, hydraulic, scour, debris and construction loads.
• Prepare calculations, technical notes, reports, specifications, drawings, material take-offs and quantity inputs.
• Coordinate foundations and bridge approaches with geotechnical, civil, drainage and road requirements.
• Develop and recommend bridge alternatives, culvert options, span optimisation, staging, erection and temporary-access solutions for assigned packages.
• Develop concrete, reinforcement, steel, piling, foundation and scour-protection details.
• Resolve interfaces through coordinated models, drawings and review registers.

What You Will Have

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Typically 10 or more years of relevant bridge or major civil-structure design experience.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and/or structural steel bridge design.
• Experience preparing coordinated, construction-ready calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Good professional English communication and problem-solving skills.
